Camp Activities

Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp is fortunate to be surrounded by the beautiful Pike National Forest. While hiking is certainly a popular free time activity during the summer, we do offer much more for families and individuals to enjoy.

THE PLAYFRAME
The sandbox & play area is located near the main Lodge. It's great entertainment for young kids and even a few adults!

VOLLEYBALL & BASKETBALL
The volleyball court & basketball court offers great group activities for all.

GOLD MINE
The old gold mine shaft is approximately 100 feet into the hillside and offers neat look underground. Having a flashlight is a must unless you prefer pitch dark!  At the entrance is stadium seating for campfire singing.

POND
At the pond there are kayaks to use during the summer. In the winter the frozen pond is a great place to ice skate and play broomball.

MONKEY ROCK
Monkey Rock is a short family-friendly hiking trail that starts at the Gold Mine with spectacular mountain views at the top.

ASPEN RIDGE NATURE TRAIL
The nature trail begins near the Lodge. With numbered markers along the path, the trail booklet gives great commentary on the nature you see along the way. This is a very nice hikes for individuals, families, and small children.
