PICTURED:  Participants all smiles for another quilter’s retreat

The four Quilt Retreats the month of October here at Rocky Mountain (otherwise known as “Quiltober”) concluded with Mennonite Quilter’s Retreat. Unfinished Objects (UFO) Quilt Retreats I, II and III were earlier in the month. Consistent with quilt retreats of the past, snow (6 1/2 inches) and cold was part of the experience. Participants were grateful for the good accommodations, food and fellowship as part of working on a variety of projects. Participants shared:

“You have a beautiful facility. We love the hikes, the fall colors, Mary’s delicious food and the space we have to sew, pin our  quilts and lay them on big tables as we design them.”
Appreciation for: “Fellowship”, “Meals”, “Peace”, “Caring”
“Your facility is safe for even a single 72 year old grandma to walk alone at night. We saw 20 wild turkeys and many deer. Where can you quilt, see wild life, gorgeous sunsets and laugh with friends for a week. Thanks to you and your staff for making this happen.”
