PICTURED: The new day brings a tube run that is a thrilling experience.

Modmates (3C) from Bethel College, KS came to enjoy a week of their Christmas break here at RMMC to begin the new year. As part of their stay, they volunteered to help build the tube run for the coming Jr. High, Sr. High, and Young Adult Snow camps in Jan. & Feb.

The work was done upon their arrival (after dusk) to move and shape the snow so that it would freeze in form come morning to be able to enjoy tubing the next day. Additionally, a few good games of human curling and broom hockey were also enjoyed after clearing and sweeping the pond.

Thanks for your help in representing the demonstrating the reward and satisfaction of both working hard and playing hard!

PICTURED: Building the tube run is one part design (a carpenters string line is stretched to guide the construction of the tube run walls), and lots of parts effort in moving the snow where needed.

PICTURED: With the snow shoveled into place, the tube run then needs to be packed groomed by tubing down the run for a smooth run after the snow freezes.
