With summer camping season just around the corner, Rocky Mountain invites additional volunteers and summer staff to join in providing a fun and meaningful experience to all who come this summer. The link to sign-up and help with foodservice, housekeeping, maintenance and van driving can be found under the “VOLUNTEER – VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES SIGN-UP“ link on camp’s web page (www.rmmc.org). In particular, we are looking for foodservice/HK help the week of Sr. High Resident Camp (June 11-17) and Grade 6&7 Resident Camp (June 25-July 1).
Given the greater challenge of filling summer staff and volunteer needs, RMMC has been more intentional about making contacts. This includes inviting volunteers from last year, contacting volunteers (via email and phone calls) who have joined us within the past 5 years and making invitations to those who would be first time volunteers to come and help. As of the beginning of the year, a newly created sign-up page which lists all volunteer needs has been created. This list allows everyone to see what is needed along with who has already signed up.
For Summer Staff, we would like an additional 5-6 staff to join the great group we already have. Help with the weeks of resident camps (June 11 through July 8) to join campers and facilitate their camp experience is desired.
