Mennonite Disaster Service and Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp joined together to fell hazard trees as well as mitigate the threat of damage from a wildland fire by thinning trees and removing understory fuels.

We’re grateful for the 25 volunteers from Colorado and Kansas who came to be part of the Tuesday through Saturday effort last week. In addition to the work in the forest was the work in foodservice for delicious meals and comfortable accommodations. This work is an ongoing effort given the 110 acres of grounds and facilities camp is entrusted to care for in this corner of God’s creation.
